Good afternoon crafters!   I hope you are all having a great week.  I am in sunny California visiting a dear friend of mine.  Today I will be sharing one of the cards we will be making at my Swallowtail class coming up on April 19th.  This class costs $25, and it includes the Swallowtail stamp, 10 cards, 10 envelopes, and a cute mini magazine holder to keep them in.  There is more information about registering for this class available on my Stampin’ Up! Website, under the events tab; that you can find here: www.scrappystampsandink.stampinup.net

This first card is one of my favorites.  I am so sad that Wisteria Wonder will be retiring at the end of May.  I absolutely love this color!  This card also features the Curly Cute stamp set.  Would you believe I owned this set for about 6 months before I used it.  I’m not sure what I was waiting for.   What is your favorite greeting set?  I couldn’t pick one.  I have three favorite greeting sets.  Curly Cute, Petite Pairs, and Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Thanks for stopping by!  I’ll check in with you again when I get home from California.  J

Hello from California

By the time you are reading this - I'll be just getting ready to land in San Jose for a long over due visit with my California best friend.  I am lucky enough to have besties in a few different states.  It has been way too long since I have seen this friend - so I am SUPER excited!

Today, I thought I would share Tammy's birthday card with you.  You may remember my gushy message about her birthday being this last Saturday.  This is the card  I created for her.  This was my first time using the Swallowtail available in the spring mini.  Oh. My. Gosh.  Hello, new favorite.  :)  The colors for this card are Rose Red, Elegant Eggplant, and Baja Breeze.  This is one of the "sweet set" color combinations available at a moments notice with the Color Coach.  I stamped the butterfly onto whisper white cardstock and cut it out.  I then cut out another piece of cardstock the same size, and embossed it with the Cloudy Day folder from the spring catalog.  I love the look of the butterfly over the clouds.

I hope Monday is nice to you!

All of the items used to make this card are available for purchase through my website.  You can see these, and many other fun products at Scrappy Stamps and Ink.  Just click the "Shop Now" button on the bottom right.

My Digital Studio Calendar

I need to start today's post with a very important message.  Today is the birthday of one of my dearest friends.  She is there when I need her, makes me laugh - and always has my back.  She is also a lot of the push behind my creativity.  She is always encouraging me to push just a little bit harder, and do just a little bit more.  I am not sure what I'd do without her.  Happy Birthday Tammy!  Hope your day is filled with joy!

I got an offer a week or so ago in my email from Vista Print, for a free calendar.  I immediately thought this would be a great opportunity to play around with the pre-done scrapbooking pages that are included in My Digital Studio.  Man, am I glad I tried it!!  Ladies those pages could not be much easier!  Everything is done for you, all you have to do is drag and drop your photos.  Most of the pages also include journaling boxes ready to type your memories into.  For this calendar, I simply deleted those boxes.

Here is one of my calendar pages.  This pages happens to be my baby brother, and my two kids.
(I love calling him my baby brother - even if he's taller than me.  LOL)

If you haven't tried out MDS yet, I encourage you to give it a try!  You can download it and play around with it for free for 30 days.  If you find you love it as much as I am beginning to love it - you are in luck!  Stampin' Up! has just recently lowered the price of the program.  You can now own this fun, easy to use program for only $19.95!

Croppin' for a Cure Fun

This is a photo of my friends and I being silly.  From left to right we have : Tammy, Me, Jodi, and Danyll.

Yesterday I was a vendor at a crop.  I have friends who are very involved with Relay for Life.  They host crops every month or so to raise money for RFL and The American Cancer society.  I made goodies for the place settings for croppers, and provided a make n take.
This is the make n take that the cropper were able to do.  It uses the Sale-a-Bration set Bloomin' Marvelous.

This was my prototype of the nametags for the crop.  The actual ones turned out a little different, but  I forgot to take a picture of the finished place setting.
