ICS Blog Hop Perfectly Packaged

Welcome to our monthly hop!  This month we are showing you some gift packaging ideas.  I started my project with a card that we did at my Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack.  It was one of the favorite cards that we did.  So, I knew I wanted to make something else to go with it.

Here is a better picture of just the card:
I love the Berries & Boughs embossing folder.  I have literally loved mine to death.  It is coming apart on the hinged side from so much love.  LOL

Here is the box again:

This box measures approximately 2.5" x 2.5" x 2.5".  I started with an 8" square of Mossy Meadow cardstock and used the Medium start, and diagonal lines on the gift box punch board.

A gift box would be complete without something fun to put inside.  So, I made a little ornament.  This is a smaller version of one found on the front of the Holiday Catalog.  It fits just perfectly inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you enjoyed the projects I had to share with you.  Whatever traditions your family has for the holidays, I hope many wonderful memories are made!
Up next on the hop is Megan!  I know she'll have something spectacular for you!

ICS Blog Hop - Giving Thanks!

Welcome to our November hop!  I am so very happy to be with my favorite stampers again this month, and we are all sharing thankful ideas.  So fitting for November!!   Thanksgiving is coming up fast, and I'm very excited.  Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.

Today, my card features the Vintage Leaves stamp set.  It was one of my favorites, as soon as the new catalog came out in June!

Here's my card:

What are your plans for Thanksgiving?  I'll be cooking.  I cook a big breakfast, and then of course a big dinner.  It is the one time of year I am very particular about doing things from scratch.  No short cuts.  My sister and her family always join us, and sometimes our parents do too.  It is always a good, good day!  Whatever you do, I hope your day is just as wonderful as I know mine will be!

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my card!

Next up on the hop is Terri, and I know she will have something amazing to share!

October D's Stamping Team USA Giving Thanks

Welcome!  I am so thankful that my friend Darla asked me to be a guest in her team hop this month!  I hope you are all enjoying yourselves so far!  I know the stampers here have many lovely things to share with you!!

For my card today, I tried a "fall ombre" kind-of effect.  I started stamping the leaves from "A Little Something" in Delightful Dijon.  About a third of the way over, I switched to stamping them in Cajun Craze.  For the last third, I finished up the leaves in Cherry Cobbler.

Fall is absolutely my favorite season, and I loved being able to showcase most of the fall colors on this card!

Thanks again to Darla and her amazing team for having me join their hop this month as a guest!
Next up on the hop is the lovely, Jeanne Moss!
