3x3 Cards

Hello there, everyone!  Today the Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration design team is sharing some ideas of 3x3 cards.  I needed one at the last minute to add to a gift.  I love how quick and easy it is to make a 3x3 card, and they are the perfect size for a short note.

Here is my card:

I cut a piece of Garden Green cardstock to 3" x 6", and folded it in half to make my card base.  I added a 2 3/4" square of Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper for a mat.  I stamped my greeting from the Labels to Love stamp set in Garden Green, onto Whisper White cardstock, and then punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch.  I added a couple pieces from the Foil Snowflakes to add a little glitz.  The label, with the snowflakes is popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals. I added a piece of the same designer series paper to the envelope flap just to tie them together.

ICS Blog Hop - Merry Little Christmas

Welcome to the December Inspire, Create, and Share blog hop.  This month we are all featuring fun gift-able items.  I choose to share the gifts I made for my team Christmas party last weekend.  My gifts featured the Merry Little Christmas designer series paper, almost exclusively.

Here is a picture of them all lined up on my mantle:

Here is close up of one by itself:

I decorated gift bags, and added personalized tags.

I love the plaid in the Merry Little Christmas designer series paper.  I found coordinating list pads at a big box craft store, and used the DSP, and coordinating colored cardstock to make a personalized cover for the pads.

I also found these great eyeglass cases at the same store.  I filled them with german chocolates, and made a tag for it as well.

I had so much fun putting these gifts together for my team.  I hope you enjoyed seeing my projects.  Next up on the hop is my good friend, Darla.  I know she has something great to share - she is so talented!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I decided to make a shelf card, with one of my favorite suites form the catalog, Coffee Cafe.  I have featured four different patterns from the designer series paper pack, the stamp set, and even the corrugated embellishments.

SSInkspiration: Technique Challenge - Eclipse Cards

Hey there everyone!  Today we are starting a new challenge over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration.  This time, it is a technique challege : Eclipse Cards.

I had never made an Eclipse Cards are super popular right now, but I had never made one before this challenge came up on my "to do" list.  I chose to use the Night in Bethlehem bundle, featured on page 26 of the Holiday Catalog.  This is one of my favorite bundles, ever!

Here is my card:

I decided to go with a very natural / neutral color scheme for my card.  My rolling city was done in Crumb Cake, inked once and stamped three times.  My star, and people were stamped in Soft Suede.  When I was done stamping, I used my Large Letter framelits to cut out the word JOY.  I matted my Very Vanilla cardstock with Crumb Cake before putting it on a Soft Suede card base.  I put my letters back in the holes using Foam Adhesive Strips.  Then,  I used some Very Vanilla baker's twine for my embellishment, and used the tie ends to make a tassel with a little bit of lace and linen thread.   I also accented my letters with some clear Wink of Stella.

Be sure to head over to Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and check out what the other design team members made, and enter our challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
