Bermuda Latte Friend

I made this card for a challenge I found on the sweetest thing blog. This was the sketch for challenge 36. The colors are from a SA challenge, SACC24. I know that I am a couple years behind.. but I am loving this boho stuff!!!! Especially with the in colors! This was the first time I used this stamp set... and the buttons! Oh my the buttons! Who knew I loved buttons? Certainly, not I! (Glad I bought them, even though I thought I didn't like them.. LOL)

Binder Clips...

I altered this binder clip this morning, in hopes of selling them at the craft fair I am doing in November. I am pretty pleased with how this turned out.. but I have a question. How do you get the embellishment at the top to stick to the clip? I used wire last year when I made jumbo paperclip bookmarks, but that didn't look right. Since I didn't really know what to do, I cut a piece of ribbon a little shorter than the wide oval punch, and put sticky strip on one side. I then sandwiched the metal clip in between the oval embellishment, and the ribbon with the sticky strip. It worked, and doesn't look horrible - but I'm thinking there must be a better way!

I was also thinking about adding a poinsettia flower, on a dimensional to the bottom ... what do you think?

Things I love...

I made this card for my guy. :-) He needs these reminders every so often... (don't we all? ) This is also part of my personal challenge to make myself use every stamp set I own, at least once. I just counted, and even though I've made quite a few posts in the last week, I still have 32 stamp sets to go. I do have a few challenge sketches/colors sitting on my desk - so maybe I'll get another one up today.

My favorite part of this card is the inside. I've never used ribbons or punches on the inside of a card before, but I wanted it to be obvious that the inside greeting was the main focus of the card. Please excuse the pink cardstock towards the bottom of the picture, I forgot to take the picture before I wrote my personal message. ::blush::

Thanks so much for checking out my blog!

One of a Kind In Colors - WSC98, SACC23

This was another double shot challenge card. I've recently started reading Beate's blog - Fresh and Fun. She does these wonderful weekend sketch challenges. This is the first one I've tried. (WSC98)

The colors are from a Stampin' Addicts color challenge, that you can see here. (SACC23)

I haven't done much with these in colors yet, so it was a lot of fun to pull them out! I'm very excited to do something else with them!
I saw someone else use the in color ribbon backwards, so you could have a solid colored ribbon. I loved the idea, and it worked well with this card. You can see the card here that inspired me to flip my ribbon. :-)

Fall Flowers - IA102, SACC27

I did this card for a challenge double shot. I've been stalking the Inspiration in Action blog for a little while now, and decided to try her challenge today (IA102). I combined that challenge with SACC27 over on Stampin' Addicts.

The stamp set I used for this card is A Rose is a Rose. This set is another great example of something I fell in love with, but have never used before now. I had a lot of fun with these smaller images from the set, hopefully I'll get to the bigger images soon!

Scallop Box

I saw this challenge over on SA, and just had to try it! You can check it out here. This is super easy to put together, and kinda reminds me a bit of a hat box. I can't wait to make some more!

I really wish they'd bring that satin ribbon back, I love it so much that I have a hard time using it; LOL, even though I have 4 rolls in my ribbon drawer.

Fifth Avenue Pumpkinberry Floral

I did this card for a sketch challenge, and a color challenge over on SA. I am loving these challenges!

You can see the color challenge here.
The sketch challenge is here.

I was totally in love with the Manhattan style when it came out in the IBC. My very first order, I purchased most of the collection. I still love it just as much, but oddly - this is the first time I've used these stamp sets. I guess it isn't really that odd, since I have shelves of stamp sets like that.

Love these colors!

Today I worked on SACC #31 (seen here), and also PPA7 (seen here). I'm still very new to these challenges, but look forward to getting familiar with them! I can already tell how fun they are! With these two challenges, I was able to put this card together in less than 30 minutes!

This card is a bit busy for me - but I'm not sure how I would've changed it.

I'll add the details of the card later! Gotta run!

Cracked Upsy Daisy

I saw this card on Stampin' Addicts and totally fell in love with it! I thought I would try the technique myself. I am not very good at shading when I watercolor, so mine is lacking a bit - but I still like it.

The watercolor pencils I own are not the greatest, so I used ink from the SU white gel pen instead. I also opted to leave the flowers as they are, and not add centers. (This is also because of my lack of ability to shade..)

This card was a lot of fun to make!

This card uses:
Brocade Blue 5/8" Grosgrain
Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder
Signo White Gel Pen
Watercolor Pencils
Brocade Blue Classic Ink
Chocolate Chip Classic Ink
Whisper White Craft Ink
Whisper White Cardstock
Chocolate Chip Cardstock
Brocade Blue Cardstock

Sunset Pumpkins

So, I took a crafting sabbatical for a couple years while things were changing fast in my life. (But I of course still fell in love with items, and bought them. But the items I bought just sat on a shelf, I didn't even put the sets together.) I've been stamping again for about a year or so - but I don't really count it as it usually only for PTA projects. I recently reorganized my craft room, and am planning on making one card everyday. I will go through all of my current stamp sets first - and then move on to the retired sets.

Also -I just joined Stampin' Addicts. I am very excited to start making some online stampin' friends again! I've read though some posts, and everyone seems so nice! This will also be a great place for inspiration!

This card uses:
Notched Corner Punch (which I just realized was retired..)
Word Window Punch
Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink
Soft Suede Classic Ink
Watercolor Wonder Crayons
Aqua Painter
Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets
3/8" Twill Tape
Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Soft Suede Cardstock
