Halloween Treats

Hey there everybody!  Happy Halloween!

Do you have anything fun planned for today?  The beginning part of our day will be much like every other.  We will get through our homeschool lessons for the day.  But then, we have friends coming over for an early dinner, and we will all trick or treat together.  I decided to make a fun special treat for my friend.

 Here is my project:

I started with a Striped Treat Bag.  I used the witches hat image from the Spooky Cat stamp set in Archival Basic Black and stamped them all over the bag.  Then I embossed my greeting from the same set, in Gold on Basic Black card stock.  I punched the greeting out with the Everyday Label Punch.  I added it to a banner I made from Whisper White, that I decorated with Black Rhinestones.  I wrapped the top in striped ribbon, added a bow, and lots of ribbons hanging down.

That is all I have to share for today!  I hope you have safe and fun halloween.

SSINK: Favorite Holiday Catalog Product Suite

Hey everyone!  Today over at SSInkspiration we are sharing our favorite Holiday Catalog product suites.  It was so hard to pick one suite.  I really do love them all.  But, in the end...I went with the suite I was first excited about: Christmas Around the World.

Here is my card:

I really love this suite.  I love the old fashioned look of the lamp posts, the great detail on the wooden embellishments, and fabulous designs in the designer series paper pack.  You can see all the fabulousness of the suite yourself on pages 28 & 29 of the Holiday Catalog.

For my card, I started with a Garden Green card base.  I used a piece of DSP from the Christmas Around the World pack for my snowy Pool Party layer.  Next, I used Basic Black cardstock and my Christmas Lampost Thinlits to cut out my lampost, lamps, and banner holder.  I cut out some lights for my lanterns out of Daffodil Delight cardstock.  On Whisper White cardstock, I used the Brightly Lit Christmas stamp set to stamp my banner, two large, and two small presents.  I was able to cut out all those pieces with the thinlit dies.  When I glued the presents down, I decided to add a wooden present as well, from the Christmas Around The World Embellishments.

Be sure to head over to the Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration blog to see what product suties the other design team members are sharing.

12 Weeks of Christmas #9

Nine full weeks until Christmas.  That doesn't feel like many.  This week has been a little hectic at our house, so I just have a card to share.

Here it is:

I just love the Watercolor Christmas stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.  The greetings in this set look the way I want my natural chicken scratch, I mean handwriting to look.  This card starts with a Cherry Cobbler card base, that was embossed with the Holly embossing folder.  Then I have a layer of Garden Green that measures 2 1/2" x 5 1/2".  Next I used some Gold Foil paper to mat my Be Merry Designer Series Paper.  I wrapped some 1/8" Gold Ribbon around, and then attached my greeting with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The greeting was stamped in Versamark onto Garden Green paper, and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  I added some Metallic Enamel Shapes to the edge of my Everyday Label Punch, and voila, the card was complete.

Coral Birthday

Hey everyone!  Today I am sharing a birthday card, with a gift holder that I just made.  One of the demonstrator groups I am in had a color challenge this week, and this was my entry.  We were challenged to only use Calypso Coral, and Very Vanilla.

Here is my card:

The inside also has a gift card holder pocket.

When I am limited in my color choices, I am better at mixing up stamp sets.  I used three different stamp sets to make this card.  I used the Sheet Music background stamp to start.  I inked up my stamp in Calypso Coral, and then stamped onto my grid paper before stamping onto my Very Vanilla cardstock.  Then, I used the flourish stamp from the Falling Flowers stamp set, in full strength Calypso Coral.  My label and greeting both come from the Rose Wonder stamp set.  I accented my greeting with a flower from the Falling Flowers stamp set.  I stamped my flower in Calypso Coral, and cut it out using the coordinating May Flowers framelits.  I then used my Calypso Coral Watercolor Pencil to color in the flower.  I added some Vanilla Metallic Edge Ribbon under my greeting, and a Metallic Enamel Shapes circle to the flower.

That is all I have to share for today!

Pining for Plaid

Hey everyone!  Today I am sharing the amazing October Paper Pumpkin Kit.  This kit is called Pining for Plaid.  We knew ahead of time that this kit was going to have a Christmas theme, and that the upcoming November kit will coordinate.  There was so much anticipation for what would be included in this kit, and Stampin' Up! really didn't disappoint!

Isn't this gorgeous?!?  The kit included everything  needed to make 10 shaker Christmas cards.

This design features a pine bough, with an ornament dangling from it.  The ornament is the shaker, with the greeting stamped inside.  I made five of these.

This design features fun stitching  across the whole top.  The shaker part has some Old Olive trees in the background.  The greeting was stamped on a white banner, and that was attached to a gold foil banner.

I do not know what the November kit is going to include - only that it is made to coordinate with this one.  The Pining For Plaid kit is so awesome, I can not wait to see what the next kit is.  You can sign up to get the November kit by clicking on the picture below.  To be sure you recieve your kit in November,  you'll need to be signed up by 11/10.

SSINK: Here Kitty Kitty

Hello everyone!  Today over at SSInkspiration we are sharing some fun cat ideas.  This fun punch has turned out to be a lot more versatile than I originally though it would be.  With, or without stamps this punch is adorable.

Here is my card:

I started with a Smoky Slate cardstock base.  I used a piece of designer series paper from the Whole Lot of Lovely pack, that is on sale for just one more week.  I punched out a little kitty in both Whisper White, and Basic Black cardstock.  I hooked their tails together, and popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  For my greeting, I used the Just Add Text stamp set that I recently got.  I stamped in Smoky Slate, onto Whisper White.  Then, I punched it out using the Pretty Label Punch.  This card was quick and easy, and would brighten up anyone's day.

Be sure to head over to the Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration blog to see what the other design team members are sharing today.  Don't forget, you have until this Friday to enter the current Fun Folds challenge.
