DIY Valentine

Good Morning!  Today the Stylin' Stampin' Inskpiration design team is sharing some ideas to get you thinking about Valentine's Day.  I decided to make a set of cards, and a box to keep them in.  My project features the Sure Do Love You suite found on pages 18 & 19 of the Occasions Catalog.

This is the box I made.  I made it using the Lots to Love Box Framelit Dies.  This box is sized perfectly to hold the new Narrow Notecards, and Envelopes that are also available as part of this product suite.

I went over all three hearts on the front of my box with my Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush pen, to add some fun shimmer.

I used the Narrow Note Cards to make five valentine cards, with coordinating envelopes.  Each card features a different patterns from the designer series paper pack.  Each piece of DSP was matted with a coordinating cardstock.  I added a simple ribbon knot, and a heart with a greeting.  These cards are very simple, and quick to assemble.  To coordinate the envelopes, I used my 2" circle punch, to punch out a piece of paper that was used on the card.

That is all I have to share for today, please be sure to head on over to the SSInkspiration blog to see what our other designers are sharing!

International Highlights - Magical Day

Welcome to the January International Blog Highlight, hosted by Kylie Bertucci.  This month, demonstrators from all around the world are sharing some fun ideas with you that feature items from the new occasions catalog.

My project features the fun new Myths and Magic product suite found on pages 36 and 37 of the Occasions catalog.  I made an accordion fold card, and a matching box to put it in.

Here is my project.

The card is a little bulky when folded, and so it wouldn't fit well in a traditional envelope.  So, I made a castle box to put it in.  I won't be mailing this card - I'll hand deliver it.

Here is a close up of my card:

I wanted to feature each of the fun images in the stamp set.  So, I stamped each image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, onto Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I used my Stampin' Blends to color them in, and then used the coordinating Magical Mates Framelits Dies.  All of my color suggestions came from my daughter.  I used my Large Letters Framelits to cut out the word happy using the 6" x 6" Myths and Magic Glimmer Paper pack.  The birthday comes from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.

Here is my card box:

I made my card box from the Lots to Love Framelits, also new in the Occasions Catalog.  I cut out the two needed card box pieces from Basic Grey, and then embossed them using the Brick Wall embossing folder.  I made my door using the Layering Oval framelits, Soft Suede, and Smoky Slate cardstock.  I embossed the Soft Suede oval with the Pinewood Plank embossing folder, and then added some Chocolate Chip ink to add some depth to the door.

Please go vote for my project on Kylie's blog!  The top ten demonstrators will all be participating in a blog hop in a couple weeks.

SSINKTC50

Hey everyone!  Today over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration we are kicking off a new Technique Challenge.  We are having fun with embossing paste.

Embossing paste is a new medium that was introduced in the current annual catalog.  We were given two new options of paste in the Occasions catalog that just went live a couple weeks ago.  Right now you can get the paste in White, Shimery White, and Silver.  I chose to use silver for my project.  The great thing about the white options is that you can add some reinker to the paste to color it for any project you are working on.

Here is my card:

I started with a Berry Bust card base, and a silver glimmer paper layer.  My next Berry Burst layer has a Silver Embossing Paste pattern on it.  To get the pattern, I smoothed the embossing paste over a mask from the Sweet Soiree Decorative Masks.

My greeting features the new Amazing Congratulations stamp set, that you can find on page 51 of the Occasions catalog.  There are three separate pieces that come together to make the tricolor congratulations.

That is all I have to share for today.  Please be sure to head over to the SSInkspiration blog to see what the other design team members are sharing, and to also play along with our challenge.

2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop: Occasions Catalog

Welcome to the first ever Kre8tors Blog Hop!  I am working with almost twenty other Stampin' Up! demonstrators, worldwide to share some fun ideas.  This month we are all sharing ideas that come from the Occasions catalog.  There are some amamzing projects in this catalog, so be sure to use the next button, and hop all the way around to see what everyone has to share.

Today I am sharing a project that features some products from the Picture Perfect Party suite, found on pages 4 and 5.

Here is my card:

For my card, I started with a Bermuda Bay Card base that I embossed with the new Simple Stripes embossing folder.  I took a sheet of Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper and cut it into 3 x 3" squares, and matted it with Basic Black.

My greeting was stamped on Whisper White with Bermuda Bay and Peekaboo Peach inks.  I used the Triple Banner punch on both ends.  I added some Black Shimmer ribbon from the annual catalog behind the greeting, and that was it.

I am very happy with how the card came out, and I was able to make 4 of them out of one sheet of the designer series paper.

Next up on the hop, is my good friend Deb Naylor.  She always has great ideas to share!

SSInk: Case the DT - Tobe

Over at SSInkspiration we are super excited to welcome Tobe Buffenbarger back to the design team.  Her talent adds so much to our team.  Today we are all CASE-ing her.  I found a card she posted last August to case, with my favorite product suite from the annual catalog, the Coffee Break Suite.

Here is her card:

I kept my card nearly identical.  I changed the margins a little, one layer of DSP, and added some linen thread.

Here is my card:

That is all I have to share for today.  Head on over to the Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration blog to see how the rest of the design team chose to CASE Tobe.

ICS Blog Hop - Recipe for Sale-a-Bration

Hello everyone!  Welcome to the first Inspire, Create, & Share blog hop of 2018!  The Occasions catalog, and Sale-a-Bration promotion went live today.  Have you seen all of the loveliness that there is in those two books yet?  Check with your demonstrator for a copy of the catalogs.  This month we are sharing recipes for Sale-a-Bration items.  Each project featured should cost about $50 to make, if you have no supplies.  Some of the projects feature Sale-a-Bration item suggestions.  My project does not feature any Sale-a-Bration items because I wanted you to be able to choose any item you like.

Here is my card:

I used a few new products from the Occasions catalog.  The greeting is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set.  I love this set.  It was made to coordinate with the Perennial Birthday project kit, but makes lovely cards all on it's own too.

The designer series paper I used is also a new product from the Occasions catalog.  This is from the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This paper is from the Cake Soiree product suite.  One side of each sheet in this pack features this beautiful silver foil.  On this sheet, all the flowers and leaves are outlined in silver foil.

If you bought all of the supplies needed to make my card, you would be able to choose any level one Sale-a-Bration item that you wanted.  You can see a list of the items I used below.

That is all I have to share for today.
Next up on the hop, Tammy has something totally adorable to share.
