Stress-Free, Homemade Christmas

Hello!
In August, I started a Stress Free, Homemade Christmas Series.  This is a series of five classes, designed to help you get things made for christmas, without all the stress.  Each month we do 4-6 projects.  Projects vary, and can be anything from Christmas cards, to gift tags, ornaments, or giftable, items.  The next class in this series is coming up on October 13th.

This is one of the projects from the September class.

It is a set of 6 gift tags, in a holder that I designed.  My tag holder is made from Crumb Cake cardstock.  I used the Lots of Labels framelits to make the front edge of my holder a little fancy.  I wrapped a piece of Tranquil Tide ribbon around the bottom, and embellished it with a bow.

My tags all feature the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp set, and all have a Whisper White Lots of Label die embossed with the Holly embossing folder.  The red tags have a Cherry Cobbler base, and feature the gingerbread man.  He was stamped in Soft Suede, on Crumb Cake cardstock and punched out with the Cookie Cutter Punch.  The Crumb Cake tags feature Santa, stamped in Basic Black onto Whisper White cardstock.  I colored Santa in using my Real Red, Basic Black, and Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers.  The Tranquil Tide tags feature the reindeer.  I stamped the reindeer in Basic Black, onto Soft Suede cardstock.  On a scrap piece of Soft Suede cardstock, I stamped the reindeer again in Real Red.  I cut out the red noses, and glued them on top of the black noses.  All six tags have Jute Twine at the top, for attaching to gifts.

The next Stress Free, Homemade Christmas class is October 13th.  There will also be one in November, and one in December.  I hope to see you there!

Gingerbread Pleated Skirt

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing a gingerbread pleated skirt card that I made.

Here is my card:

I started with a real red card base.  I added a Whisper White mat, and then worked on my pleated skirt.  I made my pleated skirt with a designer series paper from the Candy Cane Lane pack.  I wanted to make the transition from the dsp to the whisper white look a little more natural so I added a strip of washi tape, and some real red bakers twine.  Then, I just stamped my greeting and added my punched out gingerbread man.

Santa Tag

Hello everyone!

Today, I'm excited to share with you a tag that I made with the Santa image from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set.

I love making fancy tags.  I always have plans to use beautiful tags on my gifts.  But, then I'm wrapping everything last minute - and usually use no tags.  My family has adopted the tradition of each person getting their own wrapping paper so then no tags are needed.

On this little Santa, I used my Wink of Stella pen everywhere there is fur on a Santa suit.

That's all for today!

Smoky Slate Baby Bear

Hello there!  I hope your week is going well!

Today I'm sharing a fun baby card I made recently with the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set, and punch.

For me, teddy bears make me think of babies, and kids.  So, this card came together pretty quickly.

Here is my card:

I wanted my teddy bear to have the rounded ball like, plastic feeling eyes and nose.  I added drops of Fine Tip glue, and let it dry to give it that raised, rounded effect.

Vampire Baker's Box

Hello there!  I hope you had a great weekend!

Today I'm sharing a baker's box I made, with the vampire from Cookie Cutter Halloween.

Here's my box:

I love the fun little characters in both of the Cookie Cutter stamp sets!  I had fun decorating this box.  I used the grid stamp from Timeless Textures in Basic Gray, on Basic Gray for the background.  I made a Perfect Plum belly band that I stamped the crow and bat from Cookie Cutter Halloween on.  I also added an Old Olive square behind the vampire, that I embossed with the Boho Chic embossing folder.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
