12 Weeks of Christmas #9

Nine full weeks until Christmas.  That doesn't feel like many.  This week has been a little hectic at our house, so I just have a card to share.

Here it is:

I just love the Watercolor Christmas stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.  The greetings in this set look the way I want my natural chicken scratch, I mean handwriting to look.  This card starts with a Cherry Cobbler card base, that was embossed with the Holly embossing folder.  Then I have a layer of Garden Green that measures 2 1/2" x 5 1/2".  Next I used some Gold Foil paper to mat my Be Merry Designer Series Paper.  I wrapped some 1/8" Gold Ribbon around, and then attached my greeting with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The greeting was stamped in Versamark onto Garden Green paper, and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  I added some Metallic Enamel Shapes to the edge of my Everyday Label Punch, and voila, the card was complete.

SSINK - Welcome Baby

Today, on the SSInkspiration blog we are all sharing baby ideas.  Pamela Wu from our design team is expecting a baby any day now, and we wanted to share baby projects to share in her excitement.

Here is my card:

For my card, I started with a Marina Mist cad base.  I wanted a watercolor wash background.  I used a piece of watercolor paper, and my Aqua Painter to swish on some color.  I used Lemon Lime Twist, Marina Mist, and Daffodil Delight.  While I waited for it to dry, I used my circle punches, and some Daffodil Delight cardstock scraps to make a little duck.  Before gluing the pieces together, I inked around the edges with my sponge, and Daffodil Delight ink.  When my background was dry, I stamped my greetings in Basic Black Archival Ink.  The Oh Joy comes from the Watercolor Christmas stamp set available in the holiday catalog.  I also used a Hello Baby greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  My watercolor wash layer is matted in Lemon Lime Twist.

That is all I have to share for today, be sure to stop by the Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration blog to see what the other design team members are sharing!

ICS Blog Hop - Watercolor Christmas

Hello everyone!  Welcome to the September edition of the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop!  This month, we are Introducing the Holiday Catalog.  Have you seen it yet?  It is amazing.  You can see a PDF version of the catalog here: Holiday Catalog

For my project, I wanted to show off one of the beautiful cards you can make with the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit shown on page 34.  I have learned that our kits always look 100% better in real life, than they do in the catalog.  This kit is no exception.  This is a FAST and super easy way to complete 20 cards in a jiffy.  You make 5 each of four different designs.  I have chosen to show you my favorite.

Here is my card:

The card base comes with a pretty Pool Party watercolor wash on the background.  I attached my Real Red rectangle, and glued on some sequins.  The trees were already on the white piece, all I had to do was stamp my greeting in Basic Black and pop it up on the card with dimensionals.  Not only do you get to make 20 cards for $20 with this kit, but it also comes with envelopes, and gold foil liners!

Next up on the hop is my good friend Darla.  I know she has something super fun to share!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
