Get Well Wishes

Thanks for coming to my blog today! We are being highlighted internationally by Kylie Bertucci and you are able to VOTE for my project. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop so please vote for my project. You can do that here - http://bit.ly/KyliesFebHighlights

Our theme for this highlight is Get Well soon - What a wonderful way to cheer someone up when they are feeling down.

Here is my card:

This last picture is what the card will look like closed, just coming out of the envelope.  This was my first time making this kind of easel card.  It was a lot easier than I thought!  The base is a 4.25" x 5.5" card front.  To get the easel, I added a piece that was 3" x 4.5", scored at 2" and 4".  The 0.5" flap is glued down in between the Whisper White, and Island Indigo on the base.  I went over the detailed stamp parts of the butterfly, and all of the flowers with my Clear Wink of Stella pen to give the card a little shimmer.

Thanks for visiting my blog today make sure you head over to Kylie's blog -http://bit.ly/KyliesFebHighlights to vote for my project. I would love to be chosen to do an international blog hop.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

SSInk Color Challenge

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend!  I had a great weekend!  A friend and I drove up to Vancouver, BC on Friday.  We then attended the Stampin' Up! OnStage Local event on Saturday.  It was so much fun!  There was lots of chatting, laughing, sharing, the revealing of the Occasions catalog, - and of course PRIZE PATROL's!  I am not allowed to share many details of our event yet - but know that they are coming soon!!  (& worth the wait!)  Here are a few pictures from the event.

Today, over at SSInk, we have a fun color challenge going on!

What do you think of these colors?  Right away, I saw fish, and water.  So, that is what I made.

Here is my card:

I gave my mason jar a glassy effect by covering it with a layer of Fine Tip Glue.  Before it had a chance to dry, I squished my goldfish into the layer to adhere him to the card - without making him glossy.

My background paper came from the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.  I cut the paper to the size I wanted, and then used my Aqua Painter and Island Indigo ink pad to give the background a washed look.

That is all I have to share today.  I hope Monday is nice to you!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Jar of Love Color Challenge

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing the card I made for the Create with Connie and Mary color challenge.

I knew right away that this color challenge would be perfect with the Jar of Love bundle from the annual catalog.

Here is my card:

I'm sad to admit this was the first time I've had a chance to use both the Jar of Love bundle, and the  Petal Burst embossing folder.  I love them both!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ultimate Pink Blog Hop

Welcome to the first ever Ultimate Pink Blog Hop – a collection of ideas from Stampin’ UP! demonstrators all over the globe featuring shades of pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I am so happy to be a part of this blog hop.  I have a simple card, and treat to share with you today.

I love giving little treats with my cards.  I think it just adds a nice extra touch.  I also love how the card and treat together show the great coordination of Stampin' Up! products.

My tiny little treat box was made with the Envelope Punch Board, that is still on sale for a few more days.   I learned how to make this little box from a YouTube video by Poodles Papercraft.  It is just a 3 1/4" square.  You score and punch at 2" for the first side, and then just line up on the score lines after that.  I put a Hershey Miniature in my little box.  I wrapped my box with Whisper White Baker's Twine to make it look a little more like a tiny package.

I am excited you  are here. To continue to be inspired whether you’ve come from the person previous to me or after me (Nichole Loe) on the list below all participants are listed to help you as you journey among us being filled with pink inspiration.
