Hello, Lovely
Yay!  Another set I own!  So happy to be sharing something I've made!

Regular Price: $32.95 W / $24.95 C
Sale Price: $24.71 W / $18.71 C

This is the first file folder card I have ever done.  I ordered my envelope punch board a few weeks ago, but hadn't had a chance to play with it much yet.  I am very happy with how this card turned out.  I haven't made a pocket card in years, so it was almost as exciting as the first time.  The Crisp Cantaloupe folder piece on the right pulls out for writing a message, and maybe attaching a gift card.

This card was made by Wendy.  I'd love to provide a link to her blog, but I am unable to find it.  I found this picture on pinterest.  :)  I love the color combination on this card!

This beauty was made by Jan, over at Stamps, Paper, Scissors.  I can't pick just one thing I like about this card.  There are so many great things about it.  :)

Well, that is it for Hello, Lovely.  I hope you've learned to love the set as much as I have.  Interesting sidenote about this set - I received it for free, as a gift for attending Convention 2013.  Maybe next year, you could be saying the same thing.  ;)  You can purchase any of the supplies used to make these cards, as well as learn more about possible attending Convention with me next year on my Stampin' Up! website: Scrappy Stamps and Ink.  Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. Also - don't forget that for each of the marked down stamp sets you purchase - you will be entered into a drawing for a free Happy Hello Simply Sent Kit!  The kit includes everything you need to make eight adorable cards!

Shaving Cream Technique

At convention I participated in a Technique Swap.  Everyone was to make a sample of their technique, attach it to a 6" x 6" scrapbook page, with printed directions for the technique.  This swap helped me remember how fun techniques can be.  I decided to start offering a Technique Night once a month.  We learn two technique, and make sheets similar to those that were made for the swap.  We also make two cards for each technique.

Last night was Technique Night.  We learned the Shaving Cream Technique, and the Faux Mother of Pearl.  Today I will share the shaving cream projects.  Come back tomorrow to see the Mother of Pearl.

This is our technique sheet.  I love the color scheme here.  I used the Color Coach to choose it.  The choices on the actual color coach usually don't look that appealing to me, but I am always pleasantly surprised at the outcome.

We make one card that is quite similar to the technique sheet.  I'll be so sad when Midnight Muse retires in May, it is such a great color!

This was our second card.  I was going for a manly kind of card.

Be sure to come back tomorrow to and check out the Faux Mother of Pearl technique samples.
Have a great day!
