Happy New Year's!!

Hello everyone!  I can not believe we have reached the end of 2016!  Do you have big plans for New Year's?  Tomorrow is my birthday, and so we will be spending most of the day with my parents.  We will watch the Peach Bowl, (Go Dawgs!) eat pizza, play games, and of course have cake.

Today, over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiraton we are all sharing New Year's cards.  I love the idea of sending out new year cards.  Especially if you weren't able to get Christmas cards out.  I think any excuse to reach out to someone you care about and tell them you were thinking of them is a good excuse.

Here is my card:

My card features a sneak peek of an upcoming stamp set from the Occasions catalog.  This stamp set is called Love Sparkles.  All of the stamps in this set make me think of sparklers.  Sparklers make me think of New Year's and Independence Day.  You can see that on my Cheers greeting, I went over parts of the Basic Black Ink with my Gold Wink of Stella pen.

I stamped the stars from the Love Sparkles set, in Basic Black all over my Whisper White cardstock.  Then, to give it some real sparkle - I covered the whole piece in Gold Wink of Stella.

That is all I have to share today.  I hope you have a wonderful, and safe New Year's!

Sale-a-Bration Sneak Peek

Hello everyone!  I hope you are having a good week.  My kids and I are enjoying a much needed break week this week.  Last night, our family, and a family from across the street went and saw Sing.  It was a pretty funny movie.   My kids really enjoyed it.

Today, over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration we are all sharing a little bit of a Sale-a-Bration sneak peek.  Sale-a-Bration will kick off on Wednesday, January 4th.  It is the biggest promotion of the year.  There is a separate catalog with more than 10 items that you can have, for free.  You get to pick one item for every $50 you spend.

My card features the new So Very Much stamp set.  I really love the big, scroll-y, Thank You stamp that comes in this set.

Here is my card:

I started with a Dapper Denim card base, and a 4" x 5.25" piece of Designer Series Paper from the By the Shore pack.  I stamped the big thank you in Dapper Denim ink.  The so very much was also stamped in Dapper Denim, onto Whisper White Cardstock.  I used the Decorative Label Punch to make tiny label.

That is all I have to share for today!

SSInk Technique Challenge - Masking

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a great Christmas!  It is Monday, and that means another great challenge from Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration!

Today, we have a Technique Challenge for you.  We are Masking.  I love masking.  The ability to make rows of images, without overlapping them, or making them muddy just makes me happy.

Here is my card:

I *love* the Jar of Cheer stamp set from the Holiday Catalog - and am very sad that it is retiring.  I knew I needed to use it at least one more time.  So today, I am sharing a winter birthday card.

I started by Stamping the middle jar, and the snowman insde the jar.  I used the coordinating Everyday Jar framelits to cut out a jar using a post it note.  I used that cut post it note to cover the jar I stamped, and then stamped a second and third jar on either side of the first.  I also stamped the two trees while the middle jar was covered with the post it note.  I did the same thing to make the two outer jars.

Once the jars were stamped, I used my Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Write Marker to color in the hat, and part of the scarf on the snowman.  I also use the Pumpkin Pie marker to color his nose.

You can see in this second picture that I used Clear Wink of Stella to add some snow to my green trees, and also to the pile of snow that the snowman sits on.

I hope you'll join us for this fun challenge, over at SSInkspiration!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hello everyone!  I can not believe that tomorrow is Christmas Eve!  What kinds of plans do you have over this long holiday weekend?  We will have my husband's family over on Christmas day, and then my family over on the 26th.

Today, over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkpiration we are sharing Christmas cards.  Christmas cards are so fun to make.  There are so many possibilities.

Here is my card:

I wasn't sold on the Warmth & Cheer products at the beginning of the Holiday Catalog.  But, they have grown on me quite a bit -and now I am sad they aren't carrying over.  The good news about it retiring though, is that it is now on sale for 50% off!  You can get a whole stack of Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper for only $5.  This paper stack comes with forty-eight  6" x 6" sheets!

I was also very happy to use washi tape on my card.  I love washi tape.  But, I am usually not very good at actually using the washi tape... it sits in my drawer, until it retires, and then it goes to my "For Sale" table.

That is all I have to share for today.  I hope you have a very merry Christmas!

Wrap all the things!

Hello everyone!  I am so excited for Christmas.  I can not wait to see the looks on my family's face when they open their gifts.  That is always the best part for me.

Today, over on Stylin' Stampin' Inkpiration we are sharing gift packaging ideas.  I regularly forget about the packaging, until the last minute - and then I truly appreciate having supplies on hand for making my own gift packaging.

Today, I have made a gift bag, using the Gift Bag Punch Board.

Here is my bag:

I started with a 10" x 12" piece of specialty designer series paper from the Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper pack, shown on page 37 of the Holiday Catalog.  This item is retiring, and only available while supplies lasts - and until it runs out, it is on sale for $10.40.

I used a sponge, and Rich Razzleberry ink to color my dsp.  I then used the Large setting on my Gift Bag Punch Board to score, and notch my bag.  I forgot to make my holes at the top, until my bag was together, so I made mine with a handheld circle punch.

That is all I have for today.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
