Color Challenge - #SSINKCC48

Hello everyone!  It is time for another challenge over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration.  Today we have a color challenge for you.

Here is my card

I used the beautiful Floral Statemnets stamp set.  I stamped the hello image in Basic Black onto Very Vanilla.  I then used my aquapainter, and some Flirty Flamingo ink to color in the flowers.  When I was done, I flicked the end of my aqua painter to make some splatters in the background.  I did more splatters in Basic Black, and Clear Wink of Stella.  I matted my very vanilla piece onto Basic Black cardstock, and wrapped some lace trim around the corners.  I then popped that up with dimensionals onto a Flirty Flamingo card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Please head over the Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration blog to see what the other design team members have come up with, and to play along with the challenge yourself.

Anything But the Holiday Blog Hop

Hello everyone!  The 2017 Holiday Catalog went live a couple days ago.  Have you seen it yet?  You can see a PDF version of the catalog here.  Join us as we showcase 2017 Stampin’ UP! Holiday Catalog product on projects that have nothing to do with the Holidays.

No Halloween, No fall. No Thanksiving, No Christmas, No Hannuakah, etc.
ANYTHING BUT how we might expect to use them.

This blog hop is chalked full of talented.  Be sure to check out what the other participants are sharing, and leave them some love!

I decided I was going to use the new Seasonal Lantern stamp set.

Can you tell which stamps I used?

I used the inside and outside leaf stamps around my flowers to add some detail.  See my flowers in the corners?  I made them using the inside image of the gourd.  I stamped one, and masked it, and stamped the next, going around in a circle until I made the flower.  I used the inside berry stamp twice to make the Pool Party flower centers.

I am so happy to be a part of this hop, that challenged me to use things in new ways.

Next up on the hop is 47. Sherry Roth, a demonstrator in Canada.  I can't wait to see what she has to share!

SSINK Case the DT - Pamela Wu

Hello everyone!  Welcome to September!  Fall is coming in just a few short weeks, are you ready? I'm ready for crisp fall days!

The first Friday of the month over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration is always Case the Design Team Member.  This month we are CASE-ing the fabulous Pamela Wu .  Pamela has been a demonstrator since 2010, and has such a talent for paper crafting.  I am so happy, and honored to be a part of this design team with her.

I chose to CASE a card that she posted on May 24th of this year.  Here is her card:

I love how fast and easy this card is to make!  This is great to CASE when you need something beautiful, quickly.  When I was making my card, I decided to change just a couple things.  I used the same stamp set, and designer series paper pack.  But I changed the colors, and the greeting.

Here is my card:

I really love the Daisy Delight stamp set, but I haven't used it very much.  Pamela's project has inspired me to get it out and use it more.

Thanks so much for being a part of the team Pamela!

Be sure to head over to the Stlylin' Stampin' Inkspiration blog to see how the other design team members have CASE-d Pamela's projects.

Host Rewards Stamp Sets

Hello everyone!  I hope you have had a wonderful week!

Today, at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration we are showing off the amazing stamp sets that are exclusive to hostesses.  There are six sets in the annual catalog only available to hostesses.  They are all fabulous.

Today, I am featuring the You're Delightful stamp set.  It has 11 stamps in the set.  This includes two large greetings, 6 small greetings, and 3 conversation bubble images.

Here is my card:

My card was CASE'd from a photo of a swap that a friend of mine took.  I'm so sorry, I don't know who to give credit to.  But thank you!  I love the simplicity of the layout, and monotone color effect.

Here is the stamps in the set:

Summer Fun

Hey there!  Happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend.

Today, at Stylin' Stampin' Inskpiration we are sharing some summer fun ideas.  I knew right away that I wanted to use that great Adirondack chair from the Seasonal Layers dies set.  Those dies, and the Colorful Season stamp set are just good to have in your arsenal of crafting supplies.  They will take you through any season, and you can add any kind of greeting you might need.

Here is my card:

I started with a 3.75" x 5' piece of whisper white paper.  I sponged Crumb Cake ink onto the bottom, and then stamped the sand from the High Tide stamp set in Crumb Cake on top.  I added the grass from the High Tide set, in Soft Suede, after it had been stamped off on my grid paper.  In the middle section, I sponged Marina Mist ink, and topped it with the water stamp from High Tide, also in Marina Mist.  On the top, I sponged Soft Sky, and then added clouds with the Embossing Paste and Pattern Party Decorative Masks.  I stamped my greeting in Basic Black Archival Ink.  Last, but definitely not least I added the Adirondack chair that I cut out of the Wood Textures 6x6 paper stack.

Carols of Christmas

Hey everyone!  I hope you have had a good week!  Today I am dropping off my kids so they can go camping with the youth group from church - and my husband and I are just not sure what to do with ourselves!  They will be back on Sunday.  But this is the first summer where our kids have had plans, without us.  It is great for them, and good for us too - it is just a strange feeling that we aren't quite used to yet.

Today, with Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration we are sharing some fun ideas using the Carols of Christmas stamp set, and coordinating dies.  There is a great, pre-release going on right now for this fun bundle.  I love the big, bold greetings in the stamp set - and the dies have so many possibilities that we haven't really had before.

My card has a bit of a sneak peak on it!  I did not use the thinlit dies, but I have used some other products from the amazing Holiday Catalog that goes live on September 1st.

Do you see anything new?  I have used the brand new Merry Little Christmas designer series paper.  I also used the new Jute Twine.  Isn't this greeting amazing?!?!  There is another big bold greeting like this in the stamp set too.  I love big greetings that can be the main focus of your card.  My greeting was stamped in Basic Black onto Whisper White cardstock.  I added the line detail stamp in Old Olive, and also a popped up Old Olive poinsettia flower.  Behind the greeting is some of the new Jute Twine, and two sneak peaks of designer series paper from the Merry Little Christmas pack available in the upcoming Holiday Catalog.

I hope you like my simple card, as much as I liked making it.  Be sure to head over to Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration to see what the other design team members have shown using this great stamp set!

ICS Blog Hop - Knotty Ways

Welcome to the August Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop!  This month we are all focusing on knotty ways to use the amazing ribbons that we have available from Stampin' Up!  I love ribbon.  It really is one of my favorite things!

Here is my card:

I covered a whole piece of cardstock that is 3 3/4" x 5" with diagonal ribbon stripes.   This is the 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon that comes in the beautiful new In Colors.  I have used Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, and Tranquil Tide.

I stuck that onto a Basic Black mat, offset just a bit.  and then stuck that onto a Lemon Lime Twist card base offset the other way.

I used some 1/8" Silver ribbon, with knots around the whole card front.  My greeting is from the Lovely Words thinlits cut out in Basic Black.  I ran the greeting thinlit through the big shot with an oval from the Stitched Shapes to give it a finished looking, bigger border.  I cut out an oval from the Layering Ovals framelits in Silver Glimmer paper to add behind my greeting.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you find lots of fun ways to use your ribbon in tonight's hop.  Next up is my good friend Darla, and I know she has something great to share!
