Gingerbread Christmas

I hope you had a great weekend!  We took our kids through a Flashlight Corn Maze Friday night.  It was such a fun way to start the weekend.  The farm where the maze is, also had mechanical bull rides.  My teenage son decided he wanted to try it.  It was so funny to watch him up there!

Here he is.  He lasted 18 seconds.  He's super proud of his time, and he had so much fun doing it.  

Today, I have a gingerbread Christmas card to share with you.   I am really loving the Cookie Cutter punch and coordinating stamp sets.  

This card also features the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper that is on sale this month!  I took a 4in square of DSP, and cut it diagonally, then attached it to my card base.  I first saw this idea done by Patty Bennett, on Facebook.  I thin this is a great way to show off your favorite designer series papers, or also a good way to use up some stuff you have had lying around for a while.

Star of Light

Have you seen the Star of Light stamp set in the Holiday catalog?  It is *gorgeous*, and also has a set of coordinating thinlits.  

My card was inspired by a swap I received.  I forgot to photo that card though.  Thanks for the inspiration, Julie!

I wanted my Soft Sky star to really shine, so I covered it with Clear Wink of Stella.

In this close up, you can see the shimmer on the star.

CCMC427 - Fun Sketch!

Today I decided I wanted to play along with the challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary.  They have a fun sketch challenge going on.  I enjoy seeing new card sketches that make me think outside of the box!  Here's their sketch:

I wanted to try out my new Christmas Pines stamp set, and coordinating Thinlits.  I just got these items earlier this week and haven't had a chance to use them yet.

I ended up moving my greeting a little from the sketch - but I'm super happy with my card.

I love the fun, detailed cut outs we are able to get from thinlits!!

SUO Thanks & Thanksgiving Challenge

Today I decided I wanted to play along with the SUOnly challenge.  Right now, they have a Thanks & Thanksgiving challenge going on.  

I was not sure what kind of card I wanted to do.  My daughter loves to help me when I am crafting and she had an idea, so I decided to go with that.  She wanted a tree, with leaves in all the fall colors.

I chose to use one of the trees from Lovely as a Tree. I did the different colors with markers.

I'm really happy with how the card turned out, and the bonding time with my tween.

ICS Blog Hop - Fall Fun

Welcome to the October ICS Blog Hop!  This month we are all focusing on Fall.  Here in the Pacific Northwest the first couple weeks of fall were quite summery.  But then a flip was switched and it is most definitely fall now! I *love* fall!  It is my favorite season.  I love the rich colors, and the crisp morning air.

Today, I'm sharing a card from my upcoming Cookie Cutter Fun class. During this class, participants will make 10 projects, and also go home with their own Cookie Cutter Punch from the Holiday Catalog.  The punch has two coordinating stamp sets.  Cookie Cutter Christmas is shown on page 6 of the Holiday Catalog, and can be bundled with the punch to save some money.  The punch also coordinates with Cookie Cutter Halloween on page 53 of the Holiday Catalog.

I love this scarecrow image from the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set!  My scarecrow is laying in a bed of leaves from the Vintage Leaves stamp set.

I am super excited for this upcoming class.  The Cookie Cutter products are so fun to work with!!
