A Very Special Day

Hello everyone!  Welcome to another week?  How was your weekend? Mine was great!  I can't wait to share some of the fun card that were made.  Maybe I'll do that sharing on Wednesday.

Today, I have a Pop of Paradise card to share with you.  I am loving this set so much more than I thought I would.  

For this card I used the Thick Whisper White for the card base.  I love that this thicker Whisper White makes for a nice, sturdy card base.  Next I used Old Olive to stamp the big leaf from the stamp set all over to make a background.  I thought that the flamingo fit perfectly in the Lots of Labels framelits.  I wanted to add a bit of shine to the card somewhere.  I decided on a string of Gold Sequins.

This card is pretty simple, but I love it.

Sheltering Tree Seasonal Sampler

Woohoo!  We have made it to the second Friday of June!!  I am pretty excited because my weekend is packed full of stamping!  Tomorrow I have invited my team members over for some business talk,and some stamping.  I am also attending a Shoebox Swap with some other area demos after the team meeting is over.

On Sunday, I have my class day scheduled.  For the first class, Color My World, we will be working with the five new In Colors.  Then, at the second class we will make some fun masculine cards.  There is still a few spots opened in the Boys & Their Toys class.  Make plans to join us if you can!  Sunday, June 12th, my house - 5pm.


Today, I'm sharing a project from last month's class.  This Sheltering Tree Seasonal Sampler was based on some cards I saw that Patty Bennett had done.  

In class we made this 12x12 art piece, and six cards.  Guests also received their very own Sheltering Tree stamp set to take home.  Our class that day was pretty small, and very efficient, so they finished up early.  We decided to find some Pinterest cards to case.  I let each guest choose one card from Pinterest, and we all got to make each card.  It was a very fun, spontaneous activity.

I had so much fun at this class with those special ladies!  Thanks to those who were there!!

Come and sit with me.

Hello, Wednesday!  How is your week going so far?  Mine has been pretty great.  Wednesday is my favorite day of the week, because nearly each Wednesday I get to have date night, with my love.


Today, I have a card for  you that features the new "Sitting Here" stamp set.  This was one of the very first stamp sets I loved when I opened up the catalog at On Stage back in April. This set does require a bit of patience, but it is well worth it!

My card today is based off of one I saw on Pinterest, but when I went back to find it I could not.  So, thank you to whomever posted a similar card!

I used the tree stamp from Sheltering Tree to get the tree branches at the top of the card.

On Stage Live - CASE

Hi there! Welcome to Monday!  I hope your day is going well so far.  

Have you had a chance to look at the new Stampin' Up! catalog yet?  I am absolutely in love!  They have out done themselves again!

Some of  you may remember that when I was on my way home from Salt Lake City in April that I mentioned being very excited about going home and CASE-ing a card that Sara Douglass had made.  

Well, today is your lucky day - here is my take on her card.  

My card is not exactly like Sara's but the idea is the same.  I started with a Whisper White piece of paper.  I embossed the medallion piece from Moroccan Nights using Whisper White Craft Ink, and White Embossing Powder.  (A set we were given for FREE at OnStage!!)  I sponged some Crushed Curry in the center, and some Flirty Flamingo ink around the edges of the medallion.  Then I sponged black ink over the rest of the Whisper White piece.  For the greeting, I cut out the "thanks" from the Hello You Thinlits.  I then cut it out again three times with Kraft Cardstock.  I glued all of the pieces on top of each other, with the Gold Foil Paper on top so that my greeting kind of jumped off of the card.  Sara's card had more layers under her greeting - but I ran out of patience.  ha ha ha
