Hello everyone! I am so honored today to be a guest blogger on D's Stamping Team USA #imbringingbirthdaysback Blog Hop! Thank you so much to Darla, and her team for having me!!
You are probably coming here from my friend Jen, at The Stamp Diva. Wasn't her project just great?! We are real life bffs, and I am so excited that we get to share this stampin' journey together!
You may have guessed from the title - but this month the hop is all about BIRTHDAYS! A trainer from the Stampin' Up! home office decided in January that she was tired of Facebook ruining birthdays, and she was going to do something about it. So, she started the #imbringingbirthdaysback movement. She posted on her Facebook page that she would happily send a birthday card to anyone who wanted one. They just needed to comment with their birthday, and PM her their address. I'm sure she had no idea it would take off like it has. (Big shout out to Shannon West, she's my favorite home office person, and the starter of this great movement!) Apparently, a lot of people are underwhelmed with the popular trend of only a Facebook mention for birthdays. As of a couple weeks ago, she had over 1500 names on her list. (OVER ONE-THOUSAND-FIVE-HUNDRED birthday cards to mail out!!!!!!!!!) The cool thing is that other people (myself included) loved what she is doing so much, they we are now doing it on our own too! So, if you would like a birthday card - please, please, please email me your birthday and mailing address. (email to scrappystampsandink at gmail dot com) I'd love to send you a card!
Here's the card I have to share with you today:
I decided to go with a masculine birthday card for the hop. It seems there is always a need for more masculine cards.
I have really loved all of the great Sale-a-Bration items we have had this year, and will be sad to see them retire! This card features the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper, and the greeting is from the Party Pants stamp set. What is your favorite Sale-a-Bration item from this year??
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Please head on over to Darla's blog for some more amazing birthday inspiration!
You can purchase any of the items I used in my project from your Stampin' Up! demonstrator. If you do not have a demonstrator, each of the items listed is a link to my Stampin Up! Store.
Here is a shopping list for the items I used in my card:
