It's a Guy Thing Hop

Welcome to this month's hop.  We are all featuring manly, masculine cards this month.  What great timing, with Father's Day coming up right around the corner.

I am so sorry my picture is on it's side.  My normal computer isn't working properly, and the other computer in our house is apparently having issues as well.  I am so very sorry.

For my card, I decided to go with a birthday card, featuring the reflection technique.  This technique is so much easier than it looks, and the trees from Lovely as a Tree always make for a great guy card.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my card, next up is Tammy's blog.  I'm sure she has something great for you!

Going Away Party

You are probably coming here from Deb's "The Flying Stamper", isn't her stuff always just so cute?!  If you are just getting started here - Welcome!  Don't worry, you can hop all the way through, and still see Deb's fab project!

Welcome to our little Going Away Party for all of the fabulous items that are retiring in just a few short weeks.

I have seen the new book that starts in June, and let me tell you - it is ahh-mazing!!  But, there are still some retiring products that I will miss dearly!  (Can you say Gumball Green?!?)

My card today is a simple card that showcases a couple of the retiring In Colors and also the Oh, Hello stamp set.

I didn't use this stamp set a ton, but I sure did love it!  I am also really going to miss all of the 2012 - 2014 In Colors.  (Yes, even Summer Starfruit!)  This card uses quite a bit of Raspberry Ripple, with a hint of Gumball Green.  (& Crumb Cake - which thankfully is here to stay!)

Now.....who's ready to win some

::BLOG CANDY::
I will be giving away this card, and two others to one lucky winner!  All you need to do to enter is comment on this post, and tell me which item from the retired list you are most sad about.

I will be doing the drawing at 9pm PST, on Thursday, May 8th, 2014.  The winner will be announced with my Friday morning blog post, so be sure to check back then!

Now, on with the hop!  Next up is Tina, and I am sure you will love what she has in store for you!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week!  Don't forget to check back Friday to see if you won the blog candy!

Baby Sprinkle Emergency

I have a friend who came to me the other day with a plan.  She was going to buy some letter stickers from a big box store, and make a baby shower invitation.  She was then going to use her one original and make copies on a copy machine to hand out.

Of course, being the craftaholic, pinterest wannabe that I am - I immediately asked her if I could help.  I knew I didn't have time to make 20+ card invitations.  So, My Digital Studio would be the answer.  I don't do a ton with MDS, but I do love it!  I also knew that using MDS, and a local photo print shop would keep the project pretty fast and inexpensive.

She sent me a picture of an invite she'd found on pinterest that she liked, and told me about the color scheme she was going for.  I got right to work.  As, I said, I do not use MDS a ton, so I am not super proficient at it.  So, creating this took me a few hours.  If you are looking for a faster project, you could make our own invitations using one of the fabulous template downloads available in MDS.

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.   What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's hop!  For March, we have all done some fun Easter things to help you get ready.  I decided to do a card.  I had lots of fun with my fringe scissors for this!  I didn't think I was going to like them, but now I can't really put them down!

What do you think?  I had fun coloring all the little eggs on the greeting stamp.  I have been realizing lately that I really love to color.  The eggs are cut out using our oval framelits.  The two patterned ones were done with the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper.

Thanks for stopping by!!  I hope you enjoy all of the other fabulous projects on the hop!  See you next time!

Next up is Sherry!

March Sale-a-Bration Blog Hop

Thank for checking out our blog hop!  We are very excited to get these going again!  This month we are focusing on Sale-a-Bration items.

Did you come here from Rachelle's blog?  Wasn't her card cute?

I have made a card in the box to share.  This was my very first attempt at these hugely popular cards.  It was so much fun!  I can't wait to make some more!!

My card in the box features the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series paper, which is one of our exclusive Sale-a-Bration items.  That means you can order this paper for FREE when you order $50 or more worth of prodcuts.  I also use the Petal Parade stamp set.  When Sale-a-Bration is over, these two items will no longer be available.

That is what I have to share with you tonight.  Please be sure to check out the rest of the hop to see what the other gals have for you!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great night!

This button will take you back to the beginning of the hop at Deb's Flying Stamper blog.  Her stuff is always super cute!

Baby Wipe Techniqe

Hello everyone!  I hope this week is being kind to you!  I have a sick hubby at home, so  my week has been full of soup making, and tending to him.  Today I am sharing the second technique we learned at January's Technique Night.  Technique Night is a monthly class I offer, where we learn two new techniques, make two instruction sheets, and 4 cards.  You can see January's other technique here.

January was all about the baby wipes!  For our second technique we did the Baby Wipe technique.  Basically, you are using the baby wipe to create your own, custom, multi-colored ink pad.

Here is our instruction sheet.  I chose to use Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, and Crisp Cantaloupe for this technique, for a bright, cheery look.  The stamp we used is from the Sale-a-Bration set called Petal Parade.

This was the first card we made with this technique.  We put a sheet of vellum cardstock over the top of our technique sheet, and stamped the Happy Birthday from Another Great Year in Staz-On.  We also used quite a bit of the 3/8" Ruffle Trim.  I love the fun, almost skirt like look it gave to the bottom of the card.  My favorite thing that I learned while designing this card is that our 2-Way Glue Pen is the perfect vellum adhesive.  I went completely around all four edges of the vellum to attach it to the whisper white technique piece, and you can't see it after it dries!

This was our other card for the baby wipe technique.  For this card we used the arrow/feather stamp from the Petal Parade stamp set to make our own background.  The greeting is from Lots of Thanks.  I am in love with the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, available only during Sale-a-Bration.  It has such a fun, simple background.

I have included a full supply list to recreate these projects below.  You can shop for these items day or night over on my Stampin' Up! website. That is all I have for you today!  Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a great day!

Hello everyone!  How is your day going?  Today I am sharing a little Valentine's Day Treat box I made for my last stamp camp.  This little box was made using the Envelope Punch Board

This little box was simple and easy to do with the envelope punch board.  I just love that tool!  Did you know that not only can you make 66 different sizes of envelopes, but you can also make file folder cards, boxes, bows, and I am sure there are other things!  I have included a full list of supplies needed to recreate this box below.  You can shop for these supplies day or night on my Stampin' Up! webiste.
